GE Color | My TrueVIS Story
Reliable Color Delivers a Breakthrough for a New Company
Please tell us about GE Color.
We are a sign and display company that was established three years ago independent of our parent company. We provide a wide range of services from store signs to event decorations for the automotive industry and retail stores.
What kind of work are you in charge of?
Since I studied design, I worked as a designer when I first joined the company. From one year ago, I am in charge of sales. Using my knowledge of design and experience in outputting jobs with the TrueVIS series, when I hear a customer’s request, I try to produce a more optimal solution such as “How about this kind of graphic?” or “It would be better to display this style of decoration.”
What kind of things does TrueVIS mainly output?
All kinds of indoor and outdoor projects. We have four VG-640s and one VG2-640, and each machine is running at full capacity for almost eight hours a day, each printing 40 meters of media.
You said what you love most about TrueVIS is the color; could you tell us why you think that?
When I first joined the company, the VG-640 had already been installed, and I was surprised when I saw the output for the first time, because the colors were so vivid.
I think that’s one of the best things about TrueVIS that hasn’t changed since then. Some of our customers are major global brands and Japanese companies. For them, color is one of the most important factors. Accurate color reproduction and beautiful output quality are directly related to their brand image. Some of our clients even have to undergo a check by the head office, and they often say, “The quality and color are very good,” or “What kind of printer do you use?” Our TrueVIS has helped us gain the trust of even these demanding clients and maintain an ongoing relationship with them.
Is there anything else you like about TrueVIS?
Printer and Cutter in one machine. I don’t have to change the media to a cutter after printing, which helps us a lot to increase the efficiency and print more. It’s also nice to be able to do other work while letting TrueVIS do printing and cutting.
What is your favorite moment in your job?
When we are able to work together as a team to do a good job and the customer thanks us. There were times when we had to check our work for NG several times, but we were happy when we all worked together and got the final approval. It’s a great feeling when we get an immediate OK from the client!
How do you want to develop your business in the future?
We are a young company that has only been in business for a few years, so I think our top priority is for each and every employee to acquire solid skills and be able to do high quality work.
Whenever we finish a project, we always have a time to review it with the clients. We listen carefully to what went well and what needs to be improved, and always try to make the next project even better to satisfy the clients. I believe that it is very important for us to become a company that clients can trust and entrust with their work.
