“Great Idea” was the theme for the 2014 ISA show held in Orlando, Florida Thursday April 24- Saturday April 26. The ISA International Sign Expo is the on-premise sign industry’s largest show. Held each spring, the event features the latest products showcasing the breadth of the sign and visual communications industry. The Expo also offers a wide array of education and networking events. There was something for everyone.
Steady Gains in Confidence
It looks as though there are some positive signs in the wind in the April Wall Street Journal/Vistage survey of the state of the economy. Confidence is good, and trends are up.
Harsh Weather Diminishes Economic Outlook?
Today I found this infographic and can say that extreme weather affected our business these first two months of the year. Did it affect yours?
21 SGIA Golden Image Awards 2013!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m amazed at what our customers do with Roland DG equipment – this time for SGIA’s Golden Image Awards. Roland DG customers won 21 awards in various categories & with multiple entries. My congratulations to each of our customers below – You guys rock!
Digital Publishing Solutions Innovation of the Year Awards for 2013
Just got this email for nominees for Digital Publishing Solutions Innovation of the Year Awards for 2013. I may be biased, but there are some fantastic entries here. Amazingly, a full 57% (8 out of 14) of them are done using Roland DG technology (we had to ask behind the scenes as it’s not always mentioned below). We truly work with some astonishingly creative professionals, who push the boundaries of what’s possible. By putting “magical” products in the hands of masters, and you get some unbelievably good outcomes. My hat is off to all of our Roland DG pro’s! Chapeau!
Confidence Is On The Rise
CEO Confidence is on the rise, which should be a good indicator or data point for looking into the near future. Since Vistage tends to focus on small/medium business, it’s certainly good to see this trend as most sign shops would fall into this category.
Kicking Off 2013 with a Big Thanks!
What a year! I hope all of you had a happy holiday season and are refreshed for the new year. As we wrap up all the last details and put 2012 in the rearview mirror, it’s important to acknowledge all the hard work that went into it as we gear up for 2013. To our employees, dealers, vendor partners and international GlobalOne friends: Thank you all for contributing and helping us perform as a team. We’re better, together. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
SGIA Roundup
We just wrapped up our big fall show – SGIA – for color, UV, cutter & engraving products. And with the recent introduction of the new Pro4 XR-640 at the center, it looked like it would be a good show. Turns out, it was. With record attendance over 22,000, the show was packed. Not just at the Roland DGA booth, but the whole show seemed to be buzzing with energy. It was as good a show as I’ve seen in some time, and many exhibitors I spoke with at the show echoed the same sentiment. 18%+ of attendees were international. What’s more, some 38% of all attendees were there for the 1st time. What a great first impression they must have had!
