Scalable Direct-to-Object Printing Solutions
Graphics and More | Rancho Cordova, California
Heather Dykes has a great title: Co-Founder and Chief Awesomeness Officer. “We try to keep things fun here,” Dykes said. She and her business partner, David Nielsen, run Graphics and More, a custom gift products company that sells direct to consumers, 100 percent online. Their formula appears to be working, as they are currently ranked 323rd out of the millions of companies selling on Amazon Marketplace.
Founded in 2008 in Rancho Cordova, California, Graphics and More has grown to become a state-of-the-art maker of thousands of products including car accessories, apparel, home and office goods, novelty jewelry and accessories, tech gear, sports gifts and more.
On-Demand Production Made Easy
Graphics and More has 30 employees and operates out of a 9,600-square-foot office and warehouse space. During the busy holiday season, they produce and ship seven days a week.
“It's great to be able to print any of our designs on a variety of products and materials, all on the same printer.”
In this on-demand production environment, Graphics and More relies on eight Roland DG VersaUV LEF-series UV benchtop flatbed printers for high quality custom output on a variety of products, including magnets, coasters, luggage tags, keychains, signs and ornaments. They print directly on acrylic, aluminum, cork, various plastics and wood.
“It’s great to be able to print any of our designs on a variety of products and materials, all on the same printer,” said Dykes.
Durable, Colorful Prints
Some of the most popular items they create on their LEF printers include 6”x 9” and 8” x 12” plastic and metal signs, license plate frames, and door hangers. “We’ve always used Roland DG’s inks for durability and color matching,” said Dykes. They use white ink to provide a background for several of their designs, especially for products printed on acrylic.
“We’ve looked at alternative equipment, but the LEFs have us covered for less money and provide greater versatility,” said Dykes. “We just purchased our eighth LEF, just in time for the holiday season – we really needed it and it performed flawlessly for us.”
