Roland DGA customers won a total of nine SGIA Golden Image Awards in a variety of categories at PRINTING United 2019 in Dallas, impressing the judging panel with the creativity and quality of their respective entries, all printed on Roland DG inkjets.

At the 2018 Specialty Graphics Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo in Las Vegas, Roland DG customers won a total of seven prestigious SGIA Golden Image Awards in different digital print and graphics customization categories including three coveted “Gold” ribbons in the poster, interior design, and wallpaper (wall graphic) categories.

The standout work of Roland DG customers won a total of eight prestigious SGIA Golden Image Awards in a variety of categories at the 2017 SGIA Expo, including Gold, Silver and Bronze honors. All of these award-winning entries were produced on advanced Roland DG inkjets.

The work of Roland DG users impressed the SGIA judges once again in 2016. Eight Golden Image award-winning entries were printed on Roland DG large-format inkjets, including the following:

Roland DG user Nick Caminiti, with the Australian-based wrap shop Exotic Graphics, was named King of the Wrap World in the 2016 “Wrap Like a King Challenge” sponsored by Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. Caminiti’s stunning “Toxic Rat” wrap of a 1930 Ford Tudor reproduction beat out 223 other entries from around the globe to win the coveted global title. The wrap was produced using a Roland DG SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640 wide-format printer/cutter and Avery Dennison media.

Roland DG users won a total of four coveted Golden Image awards at the 2015 SGIA Expo, including three Gold and one Bronze, in a variety of categories.

The “With Roland DG” video contest gave Roland DG users throughout the Americas the chance to win valuable prizes by sharing their success stories through creative videos. The Grand Prize winner, Luis Soto of T & S Ltda. In Punta Arenas, Chile, won a Roland DG VersaUV LEF-12 flatbed UV printer.

The “People’s Choice” prize, based on the votes of those who viewed the various “With Roland DG” videos went to Jorge Enrique Rodriquez Campos with Arauca-Columbia-based Circle Inversiones S.A.S.

The 2014 Roland DG Creative Awards Contest once again showcased the diverse and highly original works of talented Roland DG users. Entries spanned a range of industries and applications, with each of our three winners receiving an all-expense paid trip to Roland DG's first-ever inkjet user conference, imagiNATION 2014, in Las Vegas.

Roland DG Users Wow the SGIA Golden Image Award Judges in Competition

A total of 21 of this year's Golden Image Award winning entries were produced on Roland DG large format printers.

Demonstrating superior creativity, design work and craftsmanship, two Roland DG businesses took top honors in the 2012 Golden Image Awards held at the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas.

In the “Building Graphics - Digital Entries” category, Gamut Media of Brea, Calif. won the gold ribbon for “Saladish,” a bold, colorful restaurant interior décor and branding campaign that included floor-to-ceiling wall wraps, POP displays and other graphics produced using the company’s VersaCAMM inkjet printer/cutter.

In the “Unique Applications - Digital Entries” category, Build A Birdhouse of East Whitby, Ontario, Canada, was awarded the gold ribbon for “Creative Birdhouses,” a whimsical collection of custom birdhouses decorated in digitally printed vinyl graphics, also created on a Roland DG VersaCAMM.

Mark Caron of MHC Sign and Design won the 2012 Roland DG Race Experience Challenge grand prize, a free VIP trip to top motorsports locales and events in the Charlotte area, complete with a “backstage” tour of Richard Childress Racing

Mark earned top honors for his Roland DG Race Experience Challenge entry, a testimonial on Roland DG digital printing equipment which was judged “most compelling” from all other contest entries submitted at the Roland DG Restyling “Born to Wrap” Facebook page (www.facebook.com/restyling).

He wrote, “Since we bought our Roland DG printer, our business has tripled. Members of T-Shirtforums.com voted KA Grafix of Fredericksburg, Va., grand prize winner in this year’s social media-themed design contest, an accolade that won the firm a new Roland DG VersaStudio BN-20, complete with a supply of inks and media.

The winning design, ‘Battle of the Giants,’ depicts the two top social media companies battling it out in a comical, yet intriguing image. The graphic artfully features Facebook as an open book, with its pages fanned out to reveal a woman’s face. While this image clearly dominates the design, it appears to be under attack by a storm of blue feathers representing the rise of Twitter.

With more than 170,000 members, T-ShirtForums.com is the industry’s largest online community of T-shirt designers, printers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs. Each year, the forum sponsors a themed T-shirt design contest on its website at www.t-shirtforums.com.

Celebrating Roland DG's 30th anniversary, the Roland DG Creative Awards showcased the best work by Roland DG owners around the world. Entries spanned a range of industries and applications, including everything from signage, banners and vehicle wraps to personalized accessories, jewelry designs and decorated apparel.

Taking home top prize for the North America region was Gamut Media for their work on the Saladish restaurant graphics, creating everything from the logo and menus to the window displays and wall murals, all on printed on a VersaCAMM SP-540V.

The Latin America regional winner was BACA-DG of Venezuala, for their work on the Alma Mia art exhibit featuring the art of Coral Hernandez, printed on Roland DG's Glossy Backlit Film with a VersaCAMM VS-640.

We are proud to welcome Joseph Diaz and Fabio Selani to the Roland DG family. These top designers earned new Roland DG devices by competing with hundreds of other Corel artists internationally through the 2011 CorelDRAW® International Design Contest.

Diaz received two Roland DG products for his entry, Steampunk Stella's - a VersaCAMM SP-300i for earning the grand prize, and a STIKA for topping the marketing/advertising category. A second STIKA was awarded to Fabio Selani, winner in the vehicle wraps category.
