“Being able to accurately control the thickness of a coating is a very unique feature.”
Recently, Adhesa needed to apply a coating on a curved surface, where their standard polyurethane coating couldn’t provide the needed durability and flexibility. Adhesa turned to its new Roland DG VersaUV UV printer/cutter, testing passes of its clear coat ink over the printing. “We applied the clear coat until we had established the proper thickness for the application,” said Craig Mitchell, president of Adhesa Plate Manufacturing. “Being able to accurately control the thickness of a coating is a very unique feature.”
The VersaUV completed the entire job of printing, cutting and coating. “The VersaUV hit a home run for us its first time at bat,” said Mitchell.
