Irvine, Calif., January 16, 2024 – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers, printer/cutters, and other innovative digital devices, has announced the addition of the new ER-641 64-inch eco-solvent wide-format printer to the DGXPRESS series, offering customers throughout Latin America outstanding print quality and high productivity at an extremely affordable price.
A new, larger printhead that ejects finer ink droplets at a higher density, combined with newly developed, high-speed data control technology, enables the DGXPRESS ER-641 to achieve robust productivity of 25.5 m2/h in 900 x 600 dpi mode for PVC printing and 43.5 m2/h in 600 x 1200 dpi mode for banner printing.
The ER-641 also boasts advanced features designed to increase work efficiency, including a media setting that automatically collects media when it’s inserted for easier, more accurate loading, a take-up unit that minimizes skew to ensure accurate media winding, and a perforated sheet cutter that separates media along perforations between print jobs. In addition, the ER-641 boasts advancements that make maintenance and part replacement easier than ever. Users can now easily replace caps, wipers, wiper cleaners, and other items around the printhead themselves – tasks that previously required personnel assistance – minimizing downtime.
With its excellent image quality, the ER-641 is capable of producing stunning graphics that feature vivid colors, neutral grays, smooth gradations, and natural skin tones, even with four-color output. Roland DG’s True Rich Color 3 print setting further enhances image vibrancy and color reproduction, working in tandem with the ER-641’s specially formulated wide-gamut inks to achieve a unique combination of vividness and natural appearance in a single graphic.
“The ER-641’s significant printhead advancements have resulted in a uniquely engineered inkjet that delivers both productivity and return on investment,” said Roland DGA’s Product Manager of Digital Print, Daniel Valade. “Incorporating the latest technology platform and narrowing down the necessary functions has allowed Roland DG to develop a state-of-the-art printer that offers not only incredible image quality and production capability, but also exceptional value.”
The ER-641 comes bundled with VersaWorks® 6 software – Roland DG’s most powerful and intuitive RIP to date – which includes a wide range of features that optimize output operations, efficiency, and convenience. ER-641 users also have free access to Roland DG Connect, a cloud-based machine monitoring app that helps you gain a detailed understanding of your entire print operation, keeps Roland DG devices running at optimum print performance, allows for easy profit calculations, and much more.
