Reporting to the Director of Sales, the SSM is a field-based sales position providing channel development and expansion to support the expansion of Roland DGA dealers within this growing new segment.  Focused on the creation of a new segment of dealers who are within this new and developing channel.  Position will cover both US and Canada.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Achieve a minimum of 100% of assigned annual quota
Work with resellers to demonstrate and promote the entire Roland product offering and achieve sales objectives as defined by the US Director of Sales
Develop comprehensive sales, marketing and support plans and implement them on an as-needed basis for faltering dealers
Work to improve professional abilities and knowledge in sales, marketing, products and the competitive landscape
Travel outside of the territory in support of company marketing efforts at major trade shows and industry events
Maintain positive relations through field visits, sales and product trainings and quarterly reviews
Analyze and control expenditures within the territory
Maintain accurate, timely and complete records of all customer contact interactions, utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application and other company support systems
Interact and maintain good relationships with all other Roland DGA departments and personnel
Assign quotas and expectations for resellers and hold them accountable
Manage territory effectively including signing new dealers where appropriate and terminating dealers that add no value 
Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner
Other duties as directed by Supervisor

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Performance is measured by percentage attainment of assigned revenue quota as outlined in Sales Compensation Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred and/or 5+ years of successful outside sales or sales management experience, preferably in the inkjet printing industry

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to travel up to 50%
Ability to develop creative and unique solution based selling plans
Application software experience in CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and various industry RIPs is desirable
Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, problem solving and time management skills
Self-motivated & goal-oriented
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to develop and maintain professional business relationships
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Detail-oriented
High energy & Commitment: the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast growing company
Must have a valid driver’s license

SALARY RANGE: 

$95,000 - $115,000 + variable comp up to $25,000

TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.

AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.  Exerts up to 10  lbs. of force occasionally.  (Almost all office jobs.)

WORKING CONDITIONS

NONE: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.  (Such as in a typical office.)

MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion and percentage.
Able to perform very simple algebra.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.  
Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
