We’ve got Pro 4 on the brain these days. It’s hard to think about anything else. We’re eating “4” cookies and “4-ranges” here at the office, tweaking Pro 4 web pages, printing Pro 4 samples, and taking orders as fast as we can among other things.
It’s Epic. It’s Here. Finally.
If you’re in the sign industry, and spending any time on the webby-web, you might have seen some of our teasers about a new “4”-like machine. Well, it’s finally here. The original “Pro” line started in 2002, and has been a part of our flagship of printer/cutters ever since. 10-years later, we’re on the 4th edition. It seems like it’s been a lot longer, and in most technology-circles, that’s a lifetime.
The Olympics Are Over, But The Competition Continues
The 2012 Summer Olympics are officially over, but vivid images of amazing athletes competing for medals are still stuck in my brain in addition to my DVR. This got me thinking about the role competition plays in our lives. It starts early. Moms and dads compete to see that their kids get into the best preschool. Once we’re in school, we compete for grades. That’s often followed by competition to get into band, orchestra, cheer squad or sports. Later, we compete for jobs, promotions and raises. Neighbors compete for who drives the best car, has the greenest lawn or the smartest kids.
Video Killed the Radio Star
If you grew up around the same time I did, you probably know that this 1979 song from the Buggles is the answer to a trivia question. The trivia question is, of course, “What was the first video ever played on MTV?”
We like Dr. Seuss at Roland DGA
We just wrapped up a new video highlighting some of the things you can do with a VersaCAMM. And while it’s obvious we like Dr. Seuss at Roland DGA, as you’ll soon see, it did provide a clever way to tell the story of versatility, creativity & ROI vs. a simple price-driven message that seems to pervade the printer market. It’s also worth noting that when you’re making a printer investment, it’s much more than just the product. It’s the support, service, webinars & education, and more. Ok, I’m off the soapbox. Let’s get on with the show…
Seeking Serendipity
There are two kinds of dogs. The first kind will dig a hole all the way to China searching for a bone. The second will dig a hundred shallow holes in your backyard looking for the same bone. Which is the better dog?
3D Engraving with MDX-15/20/40A
Did you know that MDX-15/20/40A mills ship with software that enables them to do 2D and 3D engraving?
Click Mill Software – Milling without 3D Data
Click Mill software is included with every MDX-40A, and is a fantastic utility that makes it easy to do simple milling tasks and create simple parts without the need for CAD geometry.
SRP Materials
One of the most common questions that we get at trade shows and from inbound phone/email leads is this: “What materials do your machines use and where can I buy them?”
