POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Strategic Partner Manager, and supporting the Regional Sales Managers, the PES is a field-based position to drive product awareness and education to dealers and end users on Roland’s diverse product offerings. This includes measurable, face-to-face brand development and sales training, market segment training and competitive intelligence to increase dealer activity and success selling Roland products, focusing on value based selling principles and ROI-driven sales tactics
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
• Educate, influence and persuade channel partners on how to leverage Roland portfolio as premium product and offering, focused on product ROI and end customer benefits
• Support resellers in the demonstration and promotion of the entire Roland product offering while focusing on key strategic products for Roland DGA
• Provide reseller sales training on key Roland portfolio products
• Work with Marketing and Product Management to create social media presence around their assigned portfolio of products to best promote Roland, our products and messaging
• Act as a bridge between Marketing, Product Management and Sales leadership to deliver excellence in dealer on-boarding and training.
• Represent Roland DGA as a subject matter expert (non-technical) on all products within the assigned portfolio to support dealer sales activities. This includes roadshows, webinars, events and conferences.
• Travel within the assigned territory in support of company marketing efforts at major trade shows and industry events
• Maintain positive relations through field visits, sales and product trainings and quarterly reviews
• Analyze and control expenditures within the territory
• Maintain accurate, timely and complete records of all customer contact interactions, utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application and other company support systems
• Interact and maintain good relationships with all other Roland DGA departments and personnel
• Manage territory effectively including identifying new dealers opportunities where appropriate
• Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner
• Other duties as directed by Supervisor
• Significant travel required
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
• Performance is measured by achievement of quarterly assigned tasks. MBO component will align with these tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred and/or 5+ years of successful sales or product marketing roles, preferably in the inkjet printing industry
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Ability to travel up to 70%
• Ability to develop creative and unique sales training and product release plans
• Application software experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and various industry RIPs is desirable
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, problem solving and time management skills
• Self-motivated & goal-oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to develop and maintain professional business relationships
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Detail-oriented
• High energy & Commitment: the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast growing company
• Must have a valid driver’s license
SALARY RANGE:
$95,000 - $115,000 + variable comp up to $30,000

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion and percentage.
Able to perform very simple algebra.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.
Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
