Tips and Tricks for Effective Manual Cleaning of the VersaSTUDIO BD-8 Desktop UV Printer

The Roland DG VersaSTUDIO BD-8 UV desktop printer is a versatile and efficient machine designed for high-quality printing. To ensure your printer continues to perform at its best, it's imperative that you follow proper maintenance and cleaning procedures. Here are some pointers that will ensure effective cleaning and help keep your printer in top condition.

Manual Cleaning Tips

While the BD-8 printer performs automatic maintenance, manual cleaning is still necessary to maintain optimal printer performance. Here are some essential tips for manual cleaning:

  • Use the manual cleaning jig and cleaning stick: When cleaning the printer manually, always use the provided cleaning jig and stick. Follow the instructions in the user’s manual carefully.
  • The last click of the cleaning swab: An important step (one that is often missed) is making sure you hear that final “click” when positioning the cleaning swab. Completing this step will ensure a thorough cleaning.

IMPORTANT: You MUST make sure that the cleaning stick is attached properly into the manual cleaning tool holder before performing manual cleaning.
